Product Developer
Raise the bar with us! If you are motivated by solving real engineering challenges and build products designed to perform and build to last. Delivered on time. We would like to hear from you!
We usually respond within two weeks
At Eleiko, performance is engineered.
For over 65 years, we have built the world’s most trusted strength equipment, designed to withstand extreme loads, repeated use, and the highest expectations from elite athletes around the world.
Eleiko is in a phase of growth, with increasing global demand and an expanding product portfolio. This drives a higher pace of development, more parallel projects, and a need to strengthen our engineering capability. You will join a hands-on Product Development team working closely with prototype workshop, testing, and production. At Eleiko, engineering is practical. Concepts are quickly turned into prototypes, tested under real conditions, and refined into production-ready solutions.
We are now looking for a highly experienced Product Developer who combines deep mechanical engineering expertise with the ability to drive product development projects in a structured, efficient, and pragmatic way.
Your mission
You will take a central role in developing high-performance strength equipment and ensure that designs are not only technically robust, but also manufacturable and delivered on time and according to specification.
This role requires the ability to combine detailed engineering knowledge with strong execution. You are expected to take ownership of both the technical solution and the progress of the development work, ensuring that projects move forward with the right balance of quality, cost, and speed.
What you will do
You will work across the full product development cycle, from early concept to production release. You will translate requirements into robust mechanical designs and develop components and systems using SolidWorks. You will ensure that designs meet strict requirements related to load, fatigue, safety, and long-term durability, while also applying design for manufacturing and assembly principles early in the process.
You will perform and interpret structural simulations and validation testing and work hands-on with prototypes to verify function and performance. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality to ensure that solutions are cost efficient and scalable. A key part of the role is to drive development forward in a pragmatic way, reducing unnecessary iterations and ensuring that products are delivered according to timeline and specification.
You will also be responsible for identifying risks early, taking action to mitigate delays, and maintaining clear and structured technical documentation throughout the development process.
Who you are
You are an experienced engineer with strong technical depth and a clear focus on execution. You understand that successful product development is not only about creating the right design, but about delivering it in an efficient and reliable way.
You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or a similar field, and more than ten years of experience working with mechanical product development. You have advanced skills in SolidWorks and a strong understanding of materials such as steel, polymers, and coatings. You have experience designing load-bearing and high-durability products and a solid understanding of structural behaviour and design for manufacturing.
You are used to working in environments where engineering decisions have a direct impact on production and product performance.
How you work
You take ownership of your work and drive progress forward. You are structured, pragmatic, and solution oriented, and you are comfortable making decisions and moving forward even when all information is not available.
You enjoy working closely with others and contribute to a collaborative engineering environment. You are hands-on and comfortable validating your designs in practice, not only in CAD. You continuously look for ways to improve both products and ways of working.
What we offer
At Eleiko, you will have the opportunity to engineer products that are used at the highest level of sport and built to last for decades. You will work in a development environment where prototyping, testing, and real-world validation are central, and where engineering is closely connected to production and end users.
You will be part of a skilled and dedicated team and have the opportunity to influence both technical solutions and development processes, with long-term development opportunities within advanced product development.
Location and practical information
The position is based at Eleiko headquarters in Halmstad and is primarily on site. Some travel is expected, approximately two to four days per month.
Engineer performance that lasts
At Eleiko, we build products designed to perform and built to last. If you are motivated by solving real engineering challenges and delivering high-quality products on time and according to specification, we would like to hear from you!
